First Aid

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work, these regulations apply to all workplaces.

First Aid at Work (FAW)
Suitable for workplaces with large staff numbers, higher risk environments, or where a risk assessment has identified previous medical history or other risks.
First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR)
A course for people who have already undertaken the First Aid at Work course. This course will extend their certificate for a further 3 years and must be completed within 28 days of expiry date.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
This course covers the treatment of immediately life threatening conditions,including breathing, bleeding, burns, and shocks.
CPR & AED
This course teaches you the essential First Aid knowledge of performing CPR and using an AED.

Paediatric First Aid

Guidelines state that a nursery is required to carry out a risk assessment and ensure that an adequate number of staff are First Aid trained. Our Paediatric First Aid courses meet the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements.
Paediatric First Aid Course  (PFA)
Covers situations that may occur in the care of babies, young children, and infants. The course is appropriate for those working with foundation age children who want training in emergency care for them. It can also be used as evidence for employees working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education.
Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course (EPFA)
The 6 hour emergency course is suitable for those working as part of a team with other colleagues who hold a full Paediatric First Aid certificate.
