Coca-Cola employ 4,000 production staff across 6 state of the art manufacturing plants. Safety is of paramount importance to Coca-Cola and they strive to attain and deliver the very highest standards of safety throughout their manufacturing plants.
The delivery of their detailed Health and Safety plan has previously involved several different training providers, as identifying the right provider to suit the organisation’s locations and manufacturing schedules can be a complex process. This has caused disruption to working schedules to factor in travelling to attend courses throughout the UK.
Coca-Cola have identified specific risks in the manufacturing environment and require training adapted to the workplace.
Green Cross Training specialise in enterprise scale business and immediately began creating systems for Coca-Cola that would produce the results they needed nationwide.
We provided a dedicated account manager that meant Coca-Cola had access to one point of contact for learning and development requirements. Our front line account managers then worked with our internal training team to put together a package of courses that met the requirements of Coca-Cola and satisfied their on-site risk assessments.
We combined a three line approach to delivering training which included utilising our internal training team, engaging with external trainers who are already apart of the Green Cross Training provision and through approved partners providing existing courses throughout the UK.
This provided us with 300 trainers and access to over 1,000 training courses. These included access to IOSH, NEBOSH, Environmental, Moving and Handling, Radiation, Yardsman, Root Cause Analysis, First Aid and Mental Health training courses throughout the UK.
Our internal training team have produced bespoke course outlines which are produced in conjunction with Coca-Cola’s internal subject matter experts.
Coca-Cola now have access to a set of training courses available throughout the UK, which are available through one central point of contact. The training resource has now increased to have access to over 100 training courses delivered through a suite of trainers and partnerships.
This ensures that learning and development managers have access to the expertise they require and a selection of options through a simple interface. This provides efficiency and relief for the learning and development team. In addition this is delivered through economies of scale to produce a 20% reduction in costs for Coca-Cola.
