Adult or Youth Mental Health First Aid Two Day (MHFA)

The Online Mental Health First Aid course is hosted by a qualified MHFA instructor through interactive learning such as slides, video clips, activities, discussion and case studies. Mental Health First Aid Awareness
(MHFA Aware)

In line with the requirements for physical first aid, we recommend that people who have taken a Mental Health First Aid England course refresh their skills and knowledge annually.

This will allow delegates to keep the following knowledge current: – Awareness of mental health support – Mental health and what influences it – How to apply the Mental Health First Aid action plan It also provides a chance to get up-to-date on the latest evidence base for mental health issues and support which is rapidly moving forwards.

Delegates who have attended an MHFA England Adult Two Day or One Day course, or an Armed Forces MHFA Two Day course within the last three years are eligible to attend.

Adult Scotland Mental Health First Aid

The SMHFA course takes 12 hours to complete. It can be presented in a range of formats to suit different groups. The course is presented by a qualified SMHFA instructor and quality is continuously monitored by NHS Health Scotland.
