The Challenge
Overview

At Dentsu Aegis Network, reputation is important. They manage some of the globe’s biggest brands including Disney, Mastercard, Intel and American Express, so it is imperative that they have the highest standards of colleague welfare, training and support in terms of Health and Safety throughout the UK.

Following an internal review in 2015, Dentsu Aegis identified that they needed a new Health and Safety training provider who could offer a wider portfolio of services whilst reducing costs.  This cited the need to improve processes, account management, standards of training and value for money. Following a ‘training needs analysis’ meeting Green Cross Training were commissioned to provide a complete managed service for all Health and Safety training and consultancy.

Dentsu Aegis needed an organisation that truly understood the complexities of an enterprise organisation and the need to work at scale. Dentsu have several key brands that work as independent units within their network, and each unit has specific training needs and different working environments. These environments include large offices and researchers working independently throughout the UK.

Four KPIs Identified
  1. Enterprise scale solution
  2. Conduct site-specific risk assessments
  3. Provide a local service to 50 branches throughout the UK
  4. Offer an entire suite of training through one provider
The Solution

Our team started the process by putting an account manager in place who would best serve the needs of Dentsu Aegis and their independent business units. This included the provision of a dedicated account handler and access to our online booking portal ‘GEMS’, providing the same excellent service that is the hallmark of both Dentsu Aegis and Green Cross Training.

Our training team conducted risk assessments and evaluations alongside the Dentsu Aegis team and put in place a specialist training programme to complement the core training programme.

Our consultancy services identified skill-gaps and a programme of training that included IOSH, NEBOSH and Fire training was put in place nationally.

Green Cross Training also instituted a Train the Trainer programme for internal training staff that included DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessment training. A specialist training course for Newly Expectant Mothers was commissioned and training was delivered throughout the group.

The Result

Dentsu Aegis have confidence in Green Cross Training as their training provider and have seen increases in positive delegate feedback compared to their previous supplier.

Green Cross Training’s involvement has meant that their existing internal training provision has been upskilled in key areas.  The Dentsu Aegis management team can once again rely on their training provider, confident that they will ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety training possible.

Green Cross Training also implemented a programme of risk assessments and training gap analysis. This has provided detailed management information reports throughout the organisation. Following these risk assessments, we have organised a programme of fire training throughout the group.

Consultation has begun to roll out a Mental Health training programme throughout the UK ensuring that Dentsu Aegis are setting standards for the welfare and safety of their employees.

Key Measurables
